  • REQUIRED FINANCIAL MEANS

  • The amount of financial means a foreigner is obliged to have with them on entering the Republic of Poland, as well as the type of documents that confirm the possession of the financial means and state the purpose of entering Poland

     

    1. The amount of financial means a foreigner is required to have in order to be able to cover the cost of lodging, boarding, travelling through and out of the territory of the Republic of Poland:

                        - 300,- Polish Zloty (PLN) for stays up to 4 days;
                        - 75,- Polish Zloty (PLN) per day for stays over 4 days.

     


    2. A foreigner may produce the above mentioned means in exchangable currnecies other than Polish Zloty such that they amount in the limits mebntioned above.



    3. Other cost covering means:

    1) Traveller's cheque or credit card
    2) A written, signed by an authorised clerk and bearing an official seal, issued not earlier than a month from the date of entry to the Republic of Poland bank confirmation stating that a foreigner is in possession of the said financial means. The bank should have its branch on the territory of the Republic of Poland.
    3) A genuine invitation form, issued according to the art. 15 point 2 of the Act on Aliens of 13 June 2003.

     

    4. Other documents that may confirm the possession of finanicial means necessary to cover the cost of travelling out of the Republic of Poland:

    1) Return ticket the country of origin or to a third country;
    2) A document confirming the right to own and use a means of transportaiton.

     

    5. A foreigner enetring the territory of the Republic of Poland is obliged to have an amount of 75,- Polish Zloty (PLN) per each day of stay (for stays over 4 days) or its equivalent in other exchangable currencies in order to be able to cover medical treatment costs if necessary. A foreigner entering the teritory of Schengen is obligated to have medical insurance for the amount of 30000EUR.

     

    6. Other medical cost covering mean:

    1) A genuine invitation form, issued according to the art. 15 point 2 of the Act on Aliens of 13 June 2003;
    2) Travel health insurance.

     

    7. A foreigner enetring the Republic of Poland:

    1) taking part in a tourist trip, youth camp, sports undertakings;
    2) whose cost of stay in the Republic of Poland is covered;
    3) taking on a hospital or sanatorium treatment

    should have an amount of 20,- Polish Zloty (PLN) per each day of stay but not less than 100,- Polish Zloty (PLN) as well as the amount of 300,- Polish Zloty (PLN) in order to cover the medical costs per each day of stay or their equivalents in exchangable currencies.

     

    8. A document stating that a foreigner has covered the cost of medical treatment in Poland will be considered as a confirmation of possession of the financial means needed to cover the cost of this treatment.

     

    9. Documents that may confirm the purpose of travelling into the Republic of Poland are:

    1) confirmation of participation in a tourist trip, youth camp, sports undertakings;
    2) a receipt stating that a foreigner has covered the cost of at least lodging and boarding in the Republic of Poland;
    3) acceptance letter from a hospital or a sanatorium

     

    10. A document confirming taking part in a tourist trip, youth camp or a sports undertaking should bare:

    1) data of an issuing authority - name and address;
    2) data of tourist agnecy organizing and executing the tourist trip;
    3) dates and places of stay while in Poland;
    4) a detailed information on tourist services and in case of a trip a detailed outline of the route;
    5) name and surname, place of residence of the foreigner in case of an individaual tourist trip or the number of participants in case of a collective outing;
    6) confirmation of payment issued for the tourist trip mentioning the cost of lodging and boarding.
